This video describes the FAST exam (Focused Assessment with Sonography in Trauma). While this exam is primarily used in trauma scenarios, the principles for identifying free fluid remain the same. It will serve as an introduction to scanning of the abdomen. Scanning for Ascites will be discussed further in the Paracentesis Module
